How Do I Create A Vision For Myself?
Do you know what your vision is for your life? Do you know how to find it? What is the difference between GOALS and having A VISION?
Goals are like dreams that you write down on a piece of paper and they are good to have because if you don’t dream, you won’t move forward, these are things you one day wish to have or achieve . A vision, on the other hand, is something you are emotionally attached to.
Creating a Vision for yourself takes some thinking.
Think about this and ask yourself “What do I see myself doing or being if Money or Time or Family were not an issue?” That may seem like dreaming but stick with me… What would your life be like were these things not an issue? Where would you live, what would you do with your time? Who would be around you?
Eliminating any interferences with this helps you to understand who you are at your core. Asking this question helps you think about your passion. Generally many women especially don’t have time to think about such things, women get wrapped up in the day to day living and taking care of others and even just surviving. So just think of what your life would be with out any concerns for others for a few moments. This is not an selfish act, it’s OK to think about what you would do and who you would be.
NOW .. think about this, think of what your life would be, then be specific about it… if you are thinking ” I would like to live in a big house”, then take that to the next step, what does this house look like? How many rooms? Where is this house located? Who is living there with you? What are your neighbors like? What sort of landscaping does it have? By asking these questions, you start to see this house in your head. Close your eyes if you need to but don’t just see the house, be in the house, be with the people you desire to live there with you, think of your furniture in there or the furniture you would like to have. BE SPECIFIC!
Why is it important to be specific? Why should you see yourself in this vision? When you are creating a vision for yourself, you can see exactly what it looks like, it becomes like a movie in your head. Many of us reference back to pictures in our heads… places we have been or lived, people we know, events in our past.. they play over and over. Visions become reality. When you created this vision that you can see in your head, it will play in your head. It will compel you to move forward, it can also replace negative images you may have from your past and give you a reason to move forward.

We had a great call yesterday with our Friend Laurel Crossley-Beyer founder and owner of OptiMom yesterday!
It was a little bit of a rough start due to an accident close to Laurel, but Charlotte and I talked about another F word…..Flexibility.
Flexibility is a must have for any who work at home mom! (or mom, or work at home…or any entrepreneur in general).
Sometimes things don’t go as planned, or they are out of our control…Gasp NO???
Once Laurel joined us…we then discussed how to get more “Focus” in your business and the importance of “Follow Up”.
It amazes me that people in any business still do NOT follow up! Perhaps for these reasons:
- Fear of rejection
- Think too much time has passed
- or just plain lazy….let’s face it!

It’s spring…have you wondered how to get “Bookings”? Answer: “Start planting some Booking Seeds”
Throughout your show demo you should be planting booking seeds. At least 12 -15 different ones.
What is a booking seed? you may be asking!
A booking seed is a Key phrase that you ‘Plant’ throughout your show demo.
Things like “my last hostess received this for free” or “if you fall in love with more than your pocket book allows…talk to me about booking your own show”.
It’s been proven that the more “booking seeds” you plant throughout your show gets more results!!!
